Sailors compete in races with other Bridgeport yacht clubs and regional sailing events. Located in the historic village of Black Rock Connecticut we are a private member-owned sailing social and dining club. The Black Rock Yacht Club was founded in 1926 on part of the site of the former George Hotel.

We were incorporated on July 3 1926 to encourage and support sailing and sailboat. Even amidst so much uncertainty and changing of plans they were able to keep their original date and location for the most beautiful coastal wedding. Great night for it. Services offered by Black Rock Boat Works comprise anything from the deck up including mast stepping and replacement consulting inspections standing and running rigging splicing tuning and race preparation.
